Hennessys is a historical venue in the heart of the City of London . . originally built in the 17th century on the foundation walls of the great fort "London Wall" built by the romans over 2500 years ago to enclose the new City of London (the square mile) the Three Tuns (Hennessys) was built on the mass burial grounds of the "Black Plague" which devastated the population of old london in the 17th century , the venue is also featured in the "Jack The Ripper" books and movie and is believed to have been haunted by his ghost who is reputed to have drank in the bar and indeed hidden in the old cellars after comitting his gruesome deeds !!Hennessys (formerely known as the Three Tuns) was exorcised in 2002 following many unexplained and chilling events!!
today Hennessy's offer a unique experience , while our main bar has a Traditional character and charm . . our first floor bar/restaurant is more contemporary yet cozy . . especially in the evenings with low lighting and candles . .

Our courtyard has seating for 20 , low lighting,heating and lanterns on tables in the evening for that cozy romantic feel . .

Lunch is served 12-3 order food and drinks from the restaurant and our friendly team will bring your meal to your table . .

For evening corporate parties can pre order drinks from the (Roof Drinks Menu) and we will set up your own private bar . . . our private summer BBQ parties are a truly unique experience !!
Hennessys also arrange "Jack the Ripper pub tours " this is a guided tour of the whitechapel area visiting some of the murder scenes and old pubs where the ripper preyed on his victims . . this is followed by a meal and drinks at Hennessy's (ideal for corporate staff events) please e/mail
