Description : The George Inn is the only remaining galleried coaching Inn in London and has served the community for more than 300 years. Now owned by The National Trust the Inn was rebuilt in 1677 and has several connecting bars, with pretty lattice windows and old beams throughout. The Inn was a haunt of Charles Dickens and was mentioned in Little Dorrit. Situated near many attractions including Borough Market, The London Dungeons, Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern and South Bank. The Inn offers a variety of Cask Marque ales including The George Inn Ale. Food is served throughout the day with The Coaching Rooms Restaurant taking bookings in the evening (excluding Sunday).
