Long-standing Streatham pub, The Manor Arms, has looked to the past to take it into the future with its recent relaunch.
Set on the site of a former grimy boozer, the new owners have provided this neglected venue with a refurb that has seen the restoration of many of its original 1930’s features to create an elegant art-deco style venue.
The refurb goes more than skin deep though. Opened with the aim of becoming the first point of call for the food and drink needs of local residents, The Manor Arms has employed some highly regarded industry professionals to create a quality offering.
The bar is a relaxed and stylish area to enjoy one of the many Cask Marque certified ales as well as a range of eclectic lagers. Impressively for a local pub, the spacious and lively bar area also includes a cocktail list that has been created by top mixologist Wayne Collins.
Taking pride of place at the venue is an open-plan kitchen that serves to both feed and entertain guests. Heading the kitchen is Matt Pepperell, formerly of Bob Bob Ricard, who has put together a traditional British menu with an emphasis on local ingredients.
