Taking a fresh approach to providing a quality service in a traditional environment.
The George IV's history goes back to 1777 when it was formerly known as ‘The Lord Boston Arms’, until sometime after 1820 when George IV ascended the throne. Fuller Smith and Turner acquired the pub in 1820 and in 1838 the manager, George Cloud was running an omnibus service to the city.
The George is located in the district of West London called Chiswick (from the Anglo- Saxon meaning ‘Cheese farm’) originating from the riverside meadows and farms that supported an annual cheese fair held on Dukes Meadows up until the 18th century.
We are proud to be one of the flagships for Fullers and offer quality beers and drinks, great freshly cooked food, unbeatable service and the friendliest welcome.
