Established 1736, original features includes an impressive high-ceilinged palace with Victorian fittings.
The pub has been recently restored to its former glory with a full refurbishment ,but has retained it'straditional feel.
There is thought to have been an ale house on the site in the first half of the 18th century. Farmers bought cows to the outskirts of the city and herded the in Liverpool Street and the pub was nicknamed ‘The Cow Shed’.
